Built In: Run Report Node

Overview

The Security Flow NL-Run-Report node provides the ability to run an existing dashboard report.

Functionality

The report node provides the following functionality:

Run a dashboard report and add the raw results to the message.
Run a dashboard report and attach the report results as a file to the message.

Reports may only be run from within the flows if Allow Report Access in Flows
is enabled on the Application Settings screen.

Name

The display name of the node within the flows.

Report Type

The Report Type limits reports run to those configured within the dashboard.

Widget ID

The Widget ID is the unique identifier of a dashboard widget. To obtain the Widget ID, perform the following steps:

Find the report of interest within the Dashboard screen.
Select the icon to open the dropdown menu.
Click the Copy Widget ID for Flows menu item to copy the widget’s ID.

For a hard coded value, the Widget ID may be configured with the context set to string and the widget ID pasted into the Widget ID text field.

Generate File

If Generate File is true, the report is associated with the the message using the selected File Format. The file may be accessed via the Incident Timeline or by using the NL-Add-Email-Attachments node within a flow and then sent out to a recipient via an email node.

A global limit exists to restrict the number of concurrently executing reports to three (3). Pending requests are queued until a report execution slot is available.

File Format

Specifies the output format of the file attached to the message as one of the following formats: CSV, JSON, or PDF.
